The Goodwill Path to Employment: Bobbie

By June 12, 2017No Comments1 min read

“No.” “We’re sorry.” Bobbie was getting tired of hearing these two phrases day in and day out. After completing Goodwill’s Job Readiness training program while incarcerated at the Maryland Correctional Institute for Women, Bobbie realized it would be harder than she thought to find employment.

Determined to not give up, Bobbie brushed up on her interviewing skills and polished her resume. She started volunteering and helping with administrative duties at a local nonprofit and was eventually offered a job as an office assistant with full benefits.
