Sam and Jonathan discuss career opportunities in Baltimore and what employers value in new hires. They are then joined by Elaine Carroll, Site Director; and Tiffanie Truss, Senior Program Coordinator from the Jane Addams Resource Corporation (JARC). JARC was founded in Chicago in 1985 as a community development organization, and its initial efforts focused on keeping good manufacturing jobs in the neighborhood. Its focus evolved to focus on helping both job seekers and employers through training and support services. In 2015, JARC Baltimore was launched out of the former Magna Training Center in the Park Heights community to help low-income adults get the skills and supports they need to move along a manufacturing or construction career path.
