Stronger Together!

By April 23, 20208 Comments2 min read

Dear Friend of Goodwill,

Words cannot express how thankful we are for supporters like you, especially during times like these. We know that the best way for Goodwill Industries of the Chesapeake to help during this difficult time is to continue fulfilling our mission. We’re working to ensure we can continue to serve residents throughout Baltimore and the Easton Shore Region. Even with the uncertainty about the current health crisis, we know there are people who want to help. Your support truly matters now more than ever.

Our administrative staff has been working remotely and we continue to support the graduates of our 2020 training programs and furloughed employees. Our retail operations that support our mission programs and provide a livelihood for our associates and their families, are now temporarily closed. We do what we do best, with the help of supporters like you. Without you none of this is possible!

In the upcoming weeks we will be launching a campaign to recover losses gained from store closures. As many of you know, 70% of our retail sales goes towards critical job trainings, employment placement and access to supportive services. When we reopen the number of individuals needing our services will be at an all-time high! We want to hit the ground running and we need your help to do it.

Your support truly matters more than ever!

We thank you for your continued trust and partnership with our Goodwill as we walk through these uncertain times. Together, we will be stronger for those who need us most.

Be well,

Lisa Rusyniak
President & CEO

I would like to be notified when you start accepting donations again. My wife and I are retired now and we are down sizing as we are moving to a new house with a smaller floor print. We would be donating at one of two Goodwills around the 21045 zip code. Thank you.
