Early Head Start

The Goodwill Industries of the Chesapeake Early Head Start Program, with locations at the Waverly Early Head Start Center and the Coppin State Child Development Center, is a federally funded initiative designed for children from birth to 36 months. Both centers provide comprehensive, individualized early education experiences that enhance children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. In addition to these early education services, the program offers prenatal support and education, aiming to empower parents to become the best caregivers and teachers for their children. Furthermore, the program assists parents in achieving their own goals, fostering a nurturing and supportive environment for both children and their families.
