This is for Court-Ordered Community Service at Goodwill Industries of the Chesapeake, Inc. retail locations only, which includes Central Maryland and the Eastern Shore.
Please take note of the following:
- Applicants must be 16 years or older.
- Minors and their parents must sign a consent form.
- Community service will be approved at the discretion of Goodwill.
- Those convicted of Theft, Armed Robbery, Robbery, Burglary, or Sexually based offenses are not eligible to do community service at Goodwill.
- Online applications are only accepted for those located in Wicomico, Worcester and Somerset County. If you are not located in these three counties and fill out an application, it will not be approved. INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
IMPORTANT: Goodwill only accepts court-ordered individuals for community service in our stores. We do not accept self-referrals, lawyer referrals, or pre-trial lawyer recommendations. If you are interested in completing community service with Goodwill please have your Community Service Coordinator (CSC), email a formal request for community service to: eshugar@goodwillches.org
We are currently accepting community service requests from: Work Service Programs/Coordinators, Valid Community Service Programs, U.S. Parole & Probation Officers, and Alternative Sentencing Program. If you are not participating in any of these services, or do not have a CSC we are NOT able to accept you for community service at this time.
Your PO/Community Service Coordinator will need to submit:
- A court order proving that you have to complete community service or program worksheet if you are coming through a valid community service program or alternative sentencing program.
- Documents stating the violation or reason for the community service requirement.
- A copy of your state ID.
- Goodwill location where you would like to complete community service.
- If under 18, a copy of the signed consent form.
