Goodwill in the Community

More than a store…

Today, Goodwill Industries of the Chesapeake, Inc. employs over 750 individuals, operates 32 retail locations, 8 workforce development locations, and provides a variety of commercial services for those with severe disabilities. Goodwill also opened The Excel Center in 2023, a tuition-free, public high school for adults 21 years of age and older. Additionally, Goodwill annually provides 50,000 wraparound services to over 5,000 people in need of assistance because of physical, mental, or other social barriers, and places approximately 1,000 into jobs, giving them “Not a charity, but a chance.”
