ServSafe Food Handler Training
This ServSafe program combines a certified food handling course with our Job Readiness training. The in-person course will prepare you to enter the workforce and open doors to working in the restaurant industry. Job readiness topics include: Customer Service, Effective Communication, Job Search and Retention, Interviewing Skills, and Professional Appearance.
The ServSafe certification part of the program involves an online training course concluding with an assessment to obtain your Food Handler certification. The National Restaurant Association’s curriculum covers basic food safety, sanitation and hygiene practices, temperature control, cross contamination and food allergens.
Courses are available in Baltimore and the Lower Shore. In Baltimore, this is a five (5) day course held bi-weekly. Classes are Monday-Friday from 12pm-4pm. At the Lower Shore Career Center, this is a four (4) day course held bi-weekly. Classes are Monday-Thursday from 10am-1pm.
