Serv Safe Training

Serv Safe Training

This program combines certified food handling training with our Job Readiness training. This in-person course will prepare you to enter the workforce and open doors to working in the restaurant industry. Job readiness topics include: Customer Service, Effective Communication, Job Search and Retention, Interviewing Skills, and Professional Appearance.

The Serv Safe certification part of the program involves an online training course. The National Restaurant Association’s curriculum covers basic food safety, sanitation and hygiene practices, temperature control, cross contamination and food allergens.

Courses are available in Baltimore and the Lower Shore. In Baltimore, this is a five (5) day course held bi-weekly. Classes are Monday-Friday from 12pm-4pm. At the Lower Shore Career Center, this is a three (3) day course held bi-weekly. Classes are Monday-Wednesday from 10am-1pm.
