In partnership with Community College of Baltimore County, Goodwill offers a six (6) month intensive program where individuals will complete all the prerequisites to sit for the EPA 608 (Refrigerant) CORE/Type I Exam. There are four courses covered in training: VOA 969 Safety Tools & Methods, VOA 970 Basic HVAC Electricity, VOA 520 Intermediate HVACR for Building Maintenance Technicians, and VOA556 Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician. Students can obtain their Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician Certificate and Environmental Protection Agency Certification through this program. This career advancement opportunity requires in-person, evening attendance multiple times a week. The in-class time for this course totals 226 hours and will include both traditional classroom and hands-on learning.
Requirements:
• High School Diploma/GED Preferred
• Achieve a qualifying score on The Adult Basic Education (TABE) assessment.
