When you shop at Goodwill, you’re doing more than finding one-of-a-kind pieces for your wardrobe. You’re supporting a mission that changes lives. Together, we can make sustainable fashion accessible while empowering individuals in our community to thrive.
Explore sustainable fashion. Discover gently-loved clothing that gives new life to pre-owned styles. Every purchase extends the lifecycle of garments, reduces waste, and helps protect our planet for future generations.
Make an impact. Your support brings hope and opportunity to those in need. Goodwill uses proceeds from your purchases to fund career training, education, and job placement services that transform lives.
This April, we’re excited to celebrate Earth Day with events that bring communities together and promote sustainability.
On Saturday, April 12th, join us at the Howard County GreenFest to spread the message of eco-conscious living. Check out our pop-up shop with curated thrifted pieces and enjoy fun sustainability activities for all ages. Learn more about GreenFest here.
On April 19th, don’t miss our “Secondhand & Sustainable” workshops with Hyacinth Tucker from The Laundry Basket LLC. Join us at the Ellicott City Goodwill from 10 AM-12 PM or the York Road Goodwill from 1:30 PM-3:30 PM for secondhand fashion tips to refresh your wardrobe sustainably.

Goodwill’s Environmental Impact
Goodwill Industries of the Chesapeake, Inc. is committed to sustainability by keeping millions of pounds of goods out of landfills. Since 2012, we’ve diverted 97 million pounds of goods, including recycling unsold and broken glass into sand and partnering with TREX to recycle plastic bags. With innovative initiatives like these, Goodwill continues to protect the environment for future generations.
