Achieving the Mission: Placements in 2016

By April 18, 2017One Comment1 min read

Goodwill Industries of the Chesapeake placed over 3,081 people into jobs in the Baltimore metro area and the Eastern Shore in 2016. Additionally, Goodwill provided 59,701 services to people in need of assistance because of physical, mental or other social barriers. Revenue from donated goods enables Goodwill to provide job training and placement services to people in need of assistance because of physical, mental or other social barriers. These programs are available to adults and youth who have disabilities, criminal backgrounds, lack education or job experience or are facing employment challenges. 91% of our revenue generated goes to support our programs. (CharityWatch considers a charity to be highly efficient when end calculations produce a program percentage of 75% or higher).

I think it is incredible the way you guys give back to the community! I’ve been just watching your workings for a while but never really spoke up until now.

Employing 3,081+ that’s beautiful, I just wanted to let you know your work isn’t going unnoticed & I know there’s more that’s behind the scene, silently appreciating your work as well.

Looking forward to hearing of the greatness of 2017!!
