New Goodwill Coming Summer 2026 to Reisterstown Road Plaza!

Goodwill Industries of the Chesapeake Is Coming to Reisterstown Road Plaza — and It’s Part of Something Bigger

There’s a new energy stirring at Reisterstown Road Plaza — and we’re proud to be part of it.

And now, that community cornerstone is in the middle of a real comeback — one backed by serious investment and a wave of new businesses choosing to plant roots here. The plaza is seeing meaningful redevelopment, with new tenants and renewed energy bringing fresh life to a space this community has always counted on. This summer, Goodwill of the Chesapeake is joining that momentum — opening a brand-new store at 6515 Reisterstown Road, in the former Petco space.

We believe in this community. And we can’t wait to show up for it.

A New Home in a Revitalized PlazaThe Plaza Goodwill Coming Soon to Reisterstown Road Plaza

The former Petco space at Reisterstown Road Plaza is getting a meaningful new purpose. The Plaza Goodwill will span approximately 12,000 square feet — giving us more room to serve more people, accept more donations, and create more opportunities right here in the neighborhood.

This location matters to us. Reisterstown Road Plaza is more than a shopping center — it’s a gathering place with decades of history and a community that has shown, time and again, that it shows up for one another. Being part of its next chapter is something we don’t take lightly.

And for those who know and love our smaller store a few blocks north at Reisterstown and Fallstaff Roads — don’t worry. That location isn’t going anywhere.

Opening SOON!

Mark your calendars: our new Reisterstown Road Plaza location is expected to open in Summer-2026.

The momentum behind this opening is real. Goodwill of the Chesapeake stores across the Baltimore region have seen a 25 to 30 percent increase in shopper traffic this year. Donations have grown too — so much so that we’ve expanded our donation drop-off hours to keep up. To meet the need, we’ve also grown our retail workforce by 20 percent, staying true to our mission of providing meaningful jobs and training to people in our community.

This new store is our answer to that growing connection — a bigger space, built for a community that keeps showing up.

Why This Location, Why Now

Choosing Reisterstown Road Plaza wasn’t just a business decision. It was a community one.

This plaza is woven into the daily lives of people across northwest Baltimore. It’s accessible, established, and deeply familiar. When we see a neighborhood embracing a comeback, we want to be part of it — not just as a retailer, but as a neighbor invested in what happens here.

Every donation dropped off, every item purchased, every job created through our stores — it all comes back to the people we serve. That’s the mission. And this new location puts us right where the need is.

What This Means for You

When Goodwill of the Chesapeake opens at Reisterstown Road Plaza, you’ll have a larger, more convenient space to shop, donate, and connect with an organization rooted in second chances.

More square footage means more inventory, more variety, and more opportunities to find something that matters — whether you’re hunting for a hidden gem, dropping off items that still have life in them, or looking for work with purpose.

We’re building this for the people who live here, shop here, and call this community home.
